Letter from the President of Vets4Vets.

Welcome to what I believe will be a much deserved and helpful service for Veterans and their families!

Veterans are the largest, and the most loyal group of Americans! The camaraderie extends throughout all generations of Veterans. World War II Veterans can sit at the dinner table with Iraqi war Veterans and there is a "bond".

When I came home from the Persian Gulf War in 1991, I landed at Andrews AFB and had a layover of a couple of days. I made my way over to the Vietnam War Memorial and shook the hands of the Vietnam Veterans that were volunteering at the site. What I said to them was that "we did it for you." There was a prevailing attitude during the Gulf War from those involved, at least from those around me, that American Veterans deserved a win. We dedicated our efforts to the Vietnam era Veterans who, quite frankly, had not been supported as they should have been.

I believe that the majority of Americans do support Veterans and I know that Veterans will support businesses that support them.

Vets4Vets was started to unite all Veterans and their immediate family members under one umbrella. The reason we chose to include immediate family members is because their lives were touched in such ways that they are as deserving and as loyal to the Veterans causes because of their own sacrifice in time, prayer, and support for their loved one that were, or are in the service. Think about it! You may have had a father who served in World War I. I bet anything that pride swells within you when you think of the sacrifices they made for your country!

Uniting us under one umbrella gives us opportunities to support those that support us and also allows a significant revenue stream from the private business sector to be donated to worthwhile Veteran causes.

Vets4Vets will never be politically active. We do, however, encourage members to participate in the political process. We provide a simple email link with access to every house and senate member in the United States.

Vets4Vets mission is as follows:

  • To provide easy access to services that aid Veterans and their family members.
  • To negotiate better discounts and services for Veterans and their family members.
  • To gather and present special privileges to Vets4Vets members.
  • To assist Veteran charities.
  • To assist Veterans and their family members with special needs.

As our memberships and list of Member Businesses grow, we will be able to negotiate better privileges for our members and we will also be able to assist more of those in need.

You have served our country well! Now it is time for the private sector to honor your service! Thank you for your service to our country! Thank you for my freedom!

Sincerely,

Gerald L. Buckles
President, Vets4Vets, Inc.
